Welcome to my humble blog. Come on in and bring some sunshine with you. Please don’t go away without saying hello. It gets lonely here when nobody comes to visit so please stay for just a few minutes. Even if you don’t find anything that interests you, go to leave a comment at the bottom of this message and tell me that you were here. It won’t cost you a dime but it will warm an old man’s heart. Thank you for being so kind. If you would like me to return your visit, leave the link to your site.

Jim, To one old heart to another I just found your blog after you found mine, so I stop in and pay my dime. Trust me I’ll come back another time, but then I don’t think it matters if it’s your place or mine. Oh I love poetry.

HI,
I started blogging just write articles and I was wandering what to post and how to post…Then somehow I fell in love with poetry and started writing poems…Until my first poem(though i have written few articles) there was no one to read…I almost thought of giving up…One morning my notifications were overflowed by you….that was very much encouraging…Now I have a decent readers with good no.of posts…Whether I reach heights or not(its always a life’s mystery) I won’t forget you…And I don’t need say anything about your blog…its wonderful.

Thank you for visiting my humble blog and thank you for the kind words. Do not be discouraged, I think I was doing this blog for more than a year before I began having any visitors. Even then I didn’t establish many relationships because I don’t care to communicate with ones who have very different interests than mine. I would be pleased to have you come back anytime.

Thank you so much for your concern. It is heartwarming to know that someone notices and cares, It is true, I haven’t been keeping up. My last post was sixteen days ago but everything is okay. I have gotten pretty involved with another person in some genealogical research and in another woodworking project but I am chugging along quite well for an octogenarian. Bear with me and we’ll see what happens.

Hi JUDY, thanks for dropping in. Rather than telling you about all five of my books in this space, may I suggest that you come back to my blog? I have a page devoted to each book and you will find the keys to them under the header photo.

Aww this was such a sweet post. You have described exactly what I wanted to say about my own blog (no one visits it.. its still really new 😦 ) but I couldn’t find the right words. Your words are beautiful. You must be an amazing author!! I wish you all the best!!

Thanks for stopping in. Sorry I didn’t have the coffee pot on but maybe next time. If you want to use my words in your blog, feel free to do so. I am probably old enough to be your great grandfather so we most likely don’t think much alike but that doesn’t mean we can’t be friends. Good luck with your endeavors.

Great grandfather?? LOL!! You can’t be that old! Actually, I don’t interact much with old people so I am very interested in your thoughts. Thank you!

Okay, let’s do the math. Your blog says that you are fifteen. If your father was 22 when you were born he would now be 37. If your grandfather is 22 years older than your father he would be 59 and a great grandfather 22 years older would be 81. I will be 85 next month. I remember being fifteen but things were so much different then that you and I barely speak the same language. I doubt that my suggestions for your blog would help you any.

Greetings, AuthorJim. Just leaving the howdy you requested. I stumbled across this page as a result of having seen a comment by you on a blog called Silk Road Collector (and I’m not sure they are a real blogger or a spammer, so I was checking around – am still not sure).
Good for you, writing a book. I have been threatening to do the same for years. So much reality about which I have to report, not the least of which concerns living in the wilderness of Alaska, I’ve got a lot of material with which to work, but fiction lingers in my mind as an option at times, too.
Nice meeting you, sir. Happy trails.

Hi, thanks for stopping by my humble blog. It is a better place now that you have stopped and left a note. As for Silk Road Collector, I presume that they could be classified as spam but, you know what? Most of us are very much the same. How many of us are simply being social and how many are trying to promote our product? I’m as guilty as anyone. Sure, I’m trying to make my blog and posts interesting but the purpose behind it all is and attempt to get people interested in my books. If my posts please someone and I find some interesting people that makes it all the better but, behind it all is the desire to promote my books. I wonder how many people can truthfully deny that they have a hidden agenda.
Having confessed that, I would also say that I am getting a great deal of pleasure and learning a lot by visiting other blogs and reading some very interesting posts. By the way, that definitely includes yours.
I think you should write a book or five. Your writing style is clever and you could do fact or fiction very readily.
See you in the funny papers. (Have you, or anyone else, heard that phrase before?)
LikeLike
Yes, I have heard, and occasionally use, the phrase about the funny papers. I wonder what the origin of that saying is. Google could probably answer that query.
Nothing wrong with real people selling real stuff. The thing I don’t like, though, is the spam that appears to be machines, where they harvest one’s info for who-knows-what, and one cannot communicate with whoever is on the other end of it.
Thank you for the compliments on my writing style. I aim on writing books, when time permits me to complete and perfect them to my standards. 🙂

Just dropping in for a cup of that real coffee that is boiled and not just run through a machine. Could I have a crumpit with that please and a little cream in the coffee. Thankyou so much. It has nice to rest awhile.

Make yourself right at home and have a heaping helping of my hospitality. I do apologize for not having any crumpits but would a cinnamon roll or doughnut be okay? The INK is getting quite faded on my welcome sign so I am surprised that you saw it but I thank you for kindly dropping in. Come back any time.
